The largest network of environmental groups in the World (representatives in 68 countries). In the UK, there are over 200 local groups. Its work has extended to include social issues, encouraging moves towards sustainable societies.

General Co-Operation
Action Without Borders advertises itself as “helping to find practical solutions to social and environmental problems, and is independent of any government, political ideology or religious creed”. One of its projects, called ‘Idealist’, provides information and helps communication between members (includes 37,000 non-profit and community organisations in 165 countries). Idealist allows organisations – whether they have a Web-site or not – to enter and update information about their services, volunteering, publications etc.
